Aslı Yurdanur is the Public and International Grants Manager of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), a non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 1973 that organises four international festivals (Film, Theater, Classical Music and Jazz), the Istanbul Biennial, and the Istanbul Design Biennial.
After graduation from International Relations at Bilkent University in 2007, she worked as Assistant Commercial Officer at the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Istanbul. Yurdanur has been working at IKSV since 2008 and served as assistant, supervisor and coordinator for Sponsorship Programme (2008–2014) before being appointed her present role and set up the department of Public and International Grants in 2014.
Yurdanur has given courses as visiting lecturer about art sponsorships and income generation at Bilgi University’s Department of Arts and Cultural Management. She has also contributed to prepare the report on ethics policy of IKSV with the Cultural Policy Studies department.
In 2015 she studied Art and Business (Global Art Market, Valuation, Emerging Market Trends) at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London. She is an associate member of Live DMA (European network of music venues and festivals) since 2016 on behalf of Turkey representing Salon IKSV(multipurpose venue of IKSV). Additionally, as of 2017 she is the member of the Advisory Board of the Istanbul Sound Ports Festival.
