Music Venue Trust

Music Venue Trust was created in January 2014 to protect the UK live music network. Its immediate focus is on securing the future of the iconic venues which make up the grassroots circuit. These venues have played a crucial role in the development of British music over the last 40 years, nurturing local talent and providing a platform for artists to build their careers. MVT has published one study, “Understanding Small Music Venues” and led to the creation of “London’s Grassroots Music Venues Rescue Plan”. MVT has a clear 5-year plan to ensure those venues continue to play a vital role in supporting the British music success story. MVT has created two other entities: Music Venues Alliance – a free-to-join informal association of venues, organizations and individuals who support the work of Music Venue Trust (about 250 venues), and The Trade Association of the Music Venues Alliance – a membership-only subscription service that offers deals, legal aid, and other benefits. .
