Trained as an art historian, Marjan Dewulf (1980, Belgium) stumbled accidentally into the current music industry in 2003. A useful economic degree, a strong DIY philosophy and a heart for culture and rock-‘n-roll turned out to be the perfect match to start her professional career at Muziekclub 4AD. And to linger there, taking up different challenges such as financial management, European collaborations and sustainable development.
Almost falling of the Belgian map, tiny 4AD club moves in international ways for almost 30 years now with an exciting programme, a pioneering ecological vision and a suitcase full of European experience. The venue is currently taking part in the DEMO – European cross-border cooperation on sustainable development within the live music sector. The partnership contains a mix of venues, festivals and sustainable development experts, dedicated to the exchange of know-how and the fostering of experiments.
